AR21-14 Cruise the Isles of Scilly

Sail cruise to the stunning Isles of Scilly aboard an Isles of Scilly Pilot Cutter - the perfect summer tonic away from lockdown blues.

Adventure Summary

Sail with us to the Isles of Scilly – if you’ve never been before then you’re missing a treat and if you know them already we’d be surprised if you aren’t keen to return. They’re simply our favourite cruising ground in the UK.

Every Island different, every island a delight. From the hustle and bustle of St Mary’s to the chilled out atmosphere of St Martins there’s something for everyone, and to sail there aboard an Isles of Scilly Pilot Cutter has got to be the very best way to enjoy the experience.

Itinerary

You’ll join us in Falmouth on the Saturday night. We normally meet up to enjoy a meal at the Chain Locker & Shipwrights – a bit of a local institution and known to Team Topsail as “The Falmouth Office”.

With food and introductions complete we’ll move to the boat where you’ll find yourself a bunk, stow your gear and have a look around. Before we head to our beds we’ll have a chat about plans for the following day and the week ahead.

As soon as the weather and tides allow we’ll head out around the Lizard and Westward to the favoured Isles. A typical trip may include visits to St Mary’s, St Agnes, St Martins, Tresco & Bryher and sometimes to some of the unihabited isles like Gannilly & Sampson or even to the prehistoric settlement on Nornour.

We always try to pack in a wildlife tour around the haunts of the local Seals down in the Western Rocks as well a spot of Puffin hunting off the coast of Bryher.

No trip will ever be complete without visits to our two favourite pubs either – the Turks Head on St Agnes and the Seven Stones on St Martins. Heading back we will often stop over for our last night in the Helford River – where Amelie Rose was built – the perfect way to end the perfect holiday.
