AR19-21 Falmouth to Solent Milebuilder
A coastal voyage from the heart of Cornwall along the beautiful Jurassic Coastline to the Beaulieu River in the Solent
Adventure Summary
Join us aboard the Amelie Rose as we set sail from Falmouth to head along the stunning Jurassic Coastline of Cornwall, Devon and Dorset to the Beaulieu River in the heart of tthe New Forest.
Our milebuilder cruises are a great chance to experience longer passages aboard the Amelie Rose, visiting interesting harbours and anchorages along the way.
Itinerary
You’ll be joining us in Falmouth on the Monday night. We normally meet up to enjoy a meal at the Chain Locker & Shipwrights – a bit of a local institution and known to Team Topsail as “The Falmouth Office”.
With food and introductions complete we’ll move to the boat where you’ll find yourself a bunk, stow your gear and have a look around. Before we head to our bunks we’ll have a chat about plans for the following day and the week ahead.
Depending on the times of the tides along the way we may have an early start or the morning may be fairly relaxed but either way we’ll eventually head out to sea, bound for somewhere along the Cornish or Devonian coast. The rest of the route will depend on the tides and weather but typical destinations include; Fowey, The Yealm, Plymouth & Cawsand Bay, Salcombe, Dartmouth, Weymouth, Poole & Studland Bay and Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.
There may be some night-sailing involved and almost certainly a night or two at anchor as well as harbour visits. We’ll be aiming to be close to Beaulieu by Thursday night (probably Studland Bay or Yarmouth). This will leave just a short hop to get you ashore in Baeulieu with plenty of time to head home.
